New botanical creations and an Open Studio invite

See what I’ve been creating – small gifts, decorations, and prints, plus an invitation to my Open Studio

Hello friends

It’s been a wonderfully creative few weeks in the studio! I’ve been continuing with my botanical monoprints, playing with autumn colours and the delicate shapes of leaves and seedbeds.
These prints have been finding new life in all sorts of ways – transformed into paper globes, a new series of greetings cards, Christmas decorations and other small handmade pieces.

New experiments: air-dry clay

Lately, I’ve also been enjoying working with air-dry clay, creating botanical-inspired ornaments. Each one is pressed with natural textures – simple, earthy, and perfect for adding a handmade touch to your Christmas tree of for giving as thoughtful little gifts.

You’re invited – Open Studio

Sunday 30th November, 12-4pm, The Grange, Edinburgh

I’d love for you to come along to my Open Studio!  It’ll be a relaxed afternoon where you can see what I’ve been working on, chat about art and materials, and maybe pick up a few special handmade pieces – for yourself or as gifts.

There’ll be small items, cards, prints, festive decorations as well as my larger paintings.

My lovely, and very talented, neighbour, Clare Parsons, will also be opening her pottery studio on the day.

Everyone’s very welcome – bring a friend, have a browse, and enjoy a cosy creative afternoon.

And finally, thank you

Thank you so much for supporting my work – it means the world to me.
Every print, card, and creation is made with care, inspired by the plants and textures I love. I’m so grateful to everyone who follows along, visits the studio, or shares my art.
I hope to see you on the 30th. If you’d like to come but can’t make it that day, please do get in touch. I really enjoy welcoming visitors to the studio and would be delighted to see you on any other day!

Warm wishes,
Rachel
